HERE WE GO
JUST IN: Senior Trump policy official Stephen Miller declares unelected bureaucrats do NOT have authority independent from Trump.
“The Founders created a unitary executive branch in which ‘the executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States.’ (Vesting Clause).”
“All executive power is vested in the one man elected by the whole nation. No unelected bureaucrat has any ‘independent’ authority.”
Bingo! Someone found their pocket constitution! A lot of problems could be solved if others found theirs.
Yup … passed this language to my Dutch cousin earlier today, regarding Trump’s “manner”.
Now … we need to find parallel language sorting out the role of District judges vs Executive Branch authority.
Or have SCOTUS spell it out for them.
Or, we take the impeachment route, grounded on Unconstitutional conduct.
That would remove them entirely from the game, vs a mere court reprimand.
