BUCKLE UP…JEFF CHILDERS MEMBERS ONLY SUNDAY SPECIAL IS TOO GOOD TO MISS….SO I’M POSTING IT HERE FOR THE CHEAPO NON MEMBERS TO HAVE ACCESS 🙂

……………………

Love it or hate it, everyone thinks they know what it is. But do we—really? A once-gaming joke has rocketed to a political battlefield. At this point in the battle, DOGE looks like a budgetary salami-slicing machine. But what if the plan is much, much bigger? Yesterday afternoon, the Financial Times enthusiastically reported, “Federal judge blocks Elon Musk’s access to US Treasury data.”

Let’s tally what we really know about DOGE. The one thing we know for certain about DOGE is it is good at keeping secrets. They’ve managed to conceal nearly all its staff, distracting the media with a mad scramble to doxx DOGE members one at a time.

We know that DOGE is really the existing U.S. Digital Services agency, which was originally meant to “modernize” the agencies until it got bogged down in bureaucratic bedlam and transformed into a very expensive tech support department. Trump recently renamed it.

We know that Elon Musk’s companies have provided at least some of the DOGE team. We know that DOGE was ordered to place 4-man teams in various agencies to help make them more “efficient.” The space billionaire has been busy defending the agency on twitter, announcing abuse and misspending, and signaling various cuts. Leaking against the Deep State.

And that’s about it. That’s what we now for sure.

? Obviously, or at least it should be obvious, Musk isn’t doing the actual work. Many other unnamed heroes are doing the real, hard, around-the-clock work behind the scenes. We’ve seen some tangible work product though, in brief glimpses. In January, DOGE shot out of the gate, setting up shop in the Office of Personnel Management, where it rudely installed its own email server, triggering lawsuits.

It was fine when Hillary did it, but THIS, this is something we cannot stand.

It’s uncontroversial to say that email is … communications. DOGE has clearly gotten into the entire federal email system, which raises fascinating possibilities. However, DOGE’s much less discussed connection with Artificial Intelligence is much more tantalizing.

DOGE has already installed AI into the federal email system. In a February 1st story, three anonymous USAID leakers complained to the Washington Post that Google’s Gemini AI had been embedded into their email systems without notice. It just showed up there. Hello there! How can I help you today?

Next, several stories reported DOGE is building a “custom AI chatbot” for federal workers. Wired headline, two days ago:

Third, other articles recently reported that DOGE is training an AI on its mined federal data. Washington Post, two days ago:

What if we assume that all the data DOGE mines from all the agencies is going into its singular, centralized AI database? It’s all under the public rubric of cost-cutting—a goal with which everyone agrees, even DOGE adversaries. But there’s another incredible possibility.

The possibilities for Deep State dismantling are spectacular.

If the job is to identify the real bad actors within the Deep State, the career bureaucrats concealed under lasagna-like layers of red tape and official obfuscation who are actively sabotaging the elected government, where do you even start? This problem, the problem of identifying the Swamp creatures who are driving the Resistance agenda, has stymied all previous draining efforts and caused many intelligent commenters to opine the Sysyphean job has become impossible. “It’s too late,” they complained. “It’s hopeless.”

image 6.png
? But it’s not hopeless, not with help from AI. What if DOGE’s priority isn’t just cost-cutting? What if it’s the Swamp’s worst nightmare—an AI-driven Deep State purge?

AI answers the objections, solves the unsolvable problems, and flattens the Sysphean mountain. AI is a weapon the long-entrenched Deep State was never designed to defend against. DOGE’s AI is the political warfare equivalent of Russia’s shocking Orechnik hypersonic ballistic missile — a radical new weapons technology that immediately obsoletes all existing battlefield tactics.

As WWI generals foolishly sent cavalry into battle against tanks and machine guns, the Deep State is still using leaks and bureaucratic slow-walking against an AI that never sleeps.

Suddenly, the Deep State finds itself fighting a 21st-century information war with 20th-century tactics. The Swamp creatures can no longer hide in the lasagna’s ricotta cheese or the red sauce. Invisibility is no longer an option. It’s like how the war in Ukraine has proved that satellite surveillance obsoletes large unit tactics, since massed forces can be quickly and efficiently blown to smithereens.

In the same way, AI will light up all the dark corners and recesses of the Deep State’s forests and caverns, exposing the Swamp creatures to accountability and transparency — conditions under which malignant bureaucracy cannot survive. Untraceable funds transfers can now be easily exposed. Surreptitious inter-agency coordination can be laid bare. The most active Resisters will light up on DOGE’s AI satellite maps.

It is fully legal. The Supreme Court has long held that even employees of private companies have no legitimate expectation of privacy at work

Federal employees are under an even greater duty of transparency and disclosure. There will be lawsuits, but they will be fruitless. The Constitution does not guarantee federal workers’ rights to undermine the government.

? Indeed, the federal panopticon’s bare existence ties the Deep State in knots. As they realize the danger, they will be forced to forgo all offensive activity and hunker down into their defensive trenches. They will be sent back to the drawing board, trying to invent safer methods of communication and coordination in the middle of the battle.

They will try to personalize the narrative, crying about unelected billionaires and invasions of privacy. But DOGE is moving too fast, and it holds another AI-fueled weapon, one we’ve already seen being deployed: the counter leak.

The Swamp could fill volumes of military manuals with targeted leaking tactics. Anonymous leaks are the Deep State’s favorite weapon. But it has only worked because, until now, the permanent Deep State always held an asymmetric information advantage against relatively unskilled elected officials. Trump 1.0 was savaged by the endless dripping of embarrassing information, leading to two impeachment attempts and a baker’s dozen of civil and criminal prosecutions.

But AI turns the Swamp’s asymmetric information advantage on its head. DOGE now holds the information advantage. Its AI will provide embarrassing (if not convicting) information to leak against the Deep State itself, as we have watched happening in real time all this week to USAID, the previously unknown regime-change agency that the entire world —thanks to counter-leaks— now hates with a vengeance.

Counter-leaks destroyed USAID in one week. It is hanging on by its temporary injunctive fingernails, but its offices are closed, its funds cut off, and Secretary Rubio stands fully in control.

The point is, any Resistance effort will be met with a furious and devastating information counter-attack. They’ve never faced an enemy like this, and it seems likely to become the Swamp’s Zulu moment, when those fierce but forlorn spear-chucking natives met British gatling guns, and that, as they say, was that.

The Deep State is hopelessly behind. We can trace the Musk/DOGE strategy to the billionaire’s historic purchase of X in 2022 for forty billion dollars. Elon immediately oversaw a deep-state purge of that benighted tech platform, firing a full two-thirds of the disloyal workforce.

Under the long-standing leak-suppression model, the Deep State would slyly plant its poisonous leaks in friendly corporate media, the New York Times, the WaPo, the WSJ, and CNN. Those anonymous disclosures landed hard, with maximum spin. Social media algorithmically boosted the narrative and all counter-arguments were shadow-banned, ridiculed, and buried.

The public only saw one side—the Deep State narrative.

But now, DOGE and its AI dig up the dirt— and X publishes it instantly, before the Swamp even knows what’s coming. Millions read the truth before the media can get its combat boots laced. It tries to spin, but it’s too late, as thousands of influencers, podcasters, and memers overwhelm the Deep State’s relatively few chaos agents. The public has already made up its mind before they can focus-group their counter-narratives.

For decades, since the time network news was the only game in town, the Deep State largely controlled what was ‘real’ and what was ‘conspiracy.’ But now, thanks to X, the truth goes viral before the chattering class even gets their morning talking points. For decades, corporate media functioned as the Deep State’s firewall. But the firewall has been breached. The truth floods in before they can filter it out.

We all thought X was just a social media platform. We were wrong. X is the battlefield.

? Perhaps most encouraging is all the evidence that the trap was laid for the Deep State beginning not on January 20th or even November 5th, but well before October, 2022, when Elon forked over a historic fee to buy a failing tech platform infested with blue-checked former intelligence-state cronies.

They’ve been planning all this ever since Trump lost the election. They knew back then they’d need a way to deliver the truth to us, the public. They started that early.

So be encouraged. DOGE is just the most visible aspect of Trump’s Swamp-draining strategy. All of Trump’s unconventional Cabinet appointees will soon enjoy the support of a DOGE AI that scans the battlefield in real-time.

The question no longer seems to be whether the Swamp will collapse. The questions now are how fast will it be, and how ugly will it get? Things are about to get very interesting.

Of course, money is the Deep State’s life blood, and DOGE is also, clearly, diligently cost-cutting. The Wall Street Journal ran a story yesterday headlined, “DOGE’s First Round of Cuts Went to Trump Priorities, but Bigger Targets Await.”

Cost-cutting is a political twofer, since federal spending consistently polls at the top of voter concerns, and every black-budgeted dollar cut is one less dollar the Swamp has to live on. As CNN’s lone conservative Scott Jennings noted last week, “This is like Trump’s superpower. Finding a bunch of 80-20 issues and getting on the 80 and everybody who is reflexively against him gets on the 20. Now the Democrat Party has a 31% approval rating. This is why!”

But, and this is key, it’s not just DOGE. DOGE just supplies the ammunition. Late last night, the New York Times ran a terrific story headlined, “Federal Financial Watchdog Ordered to Cease Activity.” Newly confirmed OMB Director Russel Vought just pulled the plug on Elizabeth “Indian Princess” Warren’s Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

In an email to staff yesterday —on Saturday!— Bureau employees were told to cease “all supervision and examination activity” and “all stakeholder engagement,” effectively stopping the agency’s operations. In a Twitter/X post yesterday, Vought wrote that he had notified the Federal Reserve that the Bureau “will not be taking its next draw of unappropriated funding because it is not ‘reasonably necessary’ to carry out its duties.”

As of this morning, the CFPB’s website was updated with a “404: Page not found” message.

Hysterical media coverage decries the Trump Administration’s targeting of the controversial “consumer watchdog” agency. Yet, despite the Bureau having been created in 2011, all the articles struggle vainly to find a single example of any CFPB improvement that anyone can relate to.

“Recently,” the Times gushed, “the bureau sued Capital One, arguing that the bank promoted a high-yield savings account that it then kept at a near-zero interest rate.” Sounds like something for rich folks to me. The truth is the CFPB was just a weapon Democrats wielded against banks, to force them to do things against their self-interest like implementing DEI departments, loaning money to unemployed people, and hiring unskilled members of minority groups in large numbers.

In his post, Vought disclosed the Bureau is sitting on cash reserves of $711 million. For what?? “The Bureau’s current balance of $711.6 million is excessive in the current fiscal environment,” Vought noted drily. Another counter-leak.

The Cabinet isn’t even fully confirmed yet. They are just getting up to speed.

Trump is playing the media like a ukulele. Yesterday, Fox ran a story headlined, “Trump removes Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg’s security clearances among others.” They were also banned from all secure federal facilities. Womp, womp.

Just one day prior, Trump canceled his predecessor’s security clearance. He could have done all of this in a single, security-canceling executive order on Day One. Rather, the President is dribbling them out, a few at a time, for maximum marketing effect.

Regular readers will be well-familiar with Blinken and Sullivan, the neocon architects of the failed Ukraine War. Nearly everyone recognizes the names of Letitia James and Alvin Bragg, the plump prosecutors who led the New York cases against the President.

Political lawfare has consequences. As Ralph Waldo Emerson was said to have observed, “If you strike at the king, you must kill him.”

Trump’s staggered approach forces corporate media and the Democrats to react in waves of outrage, keeping them perpetually on the defensive. Every time they scramble to condemn one move as “motivated by revenge,” the President just tees up the next. Meanwhile, the base enjoys a steady stream of steak, evidencing decisive action against our collective Swamp enemies, who spent years undermining him.

Many commenters have wondered whether the pace of the Trump Administration’s efforts would peak and begin to trail off and quiet down. But if anything, there is a sense of increasing momentum. It is very difficult to imagine a pace faster than this, but I think that is what we are going to soon see.

You and I have come far since the dark days of the pandemic, and since when a large number of loyal conservatives fretted that the chances of a Trump re-election were below zero, since the public was “tired of Trump.” Yet, here we are. Isn’t it terrific?

Have a blessed Sunday! And thank you once again for your continuing loyal support. C&C will return tomorrow morning, with a laundry list of terrific Trump achievements. Don’t miss it.
