IF this is true, and it wouldn’t surprise me. This type of tit for tat by our moronic diplomats is how diplomatic ties disintegrate and everyone goes onto their own island. Supply chains get destroyed, prices spike, and we either slow walk into another global war or deal with a 70’s style inflation lost decade.
