CNN ADMITS THE FLORIDA “EXPERIMENT” WAS RIGHT AFTER ALL

   There are two analytical levels here.
   First lets ASSUME the masks and lockdowns HELPED.
   Was it worth the economic cost?
   If there’s no real difference in health effects/benefits, then clearly the economic losses were unnecessary. And even SOME detrimental health effects but with an open economy could be justified.

   But if there are NO health differences with or without, then no mandates make sense.

   However, there is also a difference between STATE mandates and Business mandates.
   Map shows AZ with a mask mandate. But I’m not aware of one here, at present.
   BUT most businesses still require a mask even if the state doesn’t.

   So let’s take Florida …. what are businesses doing there?

   So we may still have a muddy basis for VALIDATING our beliefs that they are both useless and potentially COUNTER PRODUCTIVE (say to school age kids).

   Where is the state (or place) where there are no State Mandates, and businesses also don’t insist, and people don’t comply even where they do? (Other than bike week in Daytona.)

     Sweden.

     We have a member from Sweden.

     I have asked several times

     Very few wear masks anywhere .

     Most business were open and schools

     Stats are very benign compared to many Countries.

       South Dakota also…Optional…Most stores no masks…compare to North Dakota with mask mandates…same exact profile

           Thx … wasn’t arguing, just asking for substantiation and a deeper dive. 🙂

           So yes, Sweden and the Dakotas would be great places to look more closely.
           Especially the Dakotas as a nice ‘controlled experiment’.
           What’s in the N Dakota water, by the way?
