What we are experiencing in the US is a financial restructuring. The US is a Corporation. An outside CEO has been hired to clean up the mess with no favouritism to any employees. He surrounds himself with department heads who can do the job without emotion or loyalty. It’s purely a business decision. Unlike in a business, criminal deed doers should be punished under the law as well as terminated.
Eventually, most Western Nations will need to do the same or face moral and financial bankruptcy as well as the destruction of their culture. This will be painful for most of us but we will adapt over time. The gravy train has run out of fuel.
