While the author does a good job describing what has taken place and how we got to this point, as well as framing the dilemma we face going forward, I disagree with his conclusion. There is no reason why the rule of law can’t be followed in the process of rounding up illegals and those who would conduct criminal activity to sabotage the new administration.

If people commit crimes in attacking infrastructure they should be arrested and prosecuted. If govt. employees refuse to follow the laws as passed by Congress and enforced by the administration, they should be removed from their positions.

Nothing warrants going to the extremes of violence and or breaking the law in a Machiavellian justification of anything goes, nor is it necessary. Using the law and law enforcement to actually enforce the law, doesn’t threaten democracy, but rather protects and defends it. https://www.zerohedge.com/political/monkey-wrench-sabotage-america-begs-authoritarian-response
