PS He used a GPS to tell him how to get from Home to Las Vegas and unfortunately it took him to Las Vegas New Mexico ( a small sleepy Village ) first

I know that town pretty well, as its first good sized city on I-25 coming down out of CO on my way to ‘Zona, if you are looking for gas. On the way north … its your last chance for lodging before a long 2hr drive to Raton where …. if the pass is closed due to snow, the lodging will be gone if you’re not among the early birds, and you’ll have to drive all the way back to Vegas. Got VERY lucky the one time I got caught that way.
