a Christmas present???
Arizona Gold & Silver is one of Spock’s Rocks that I sill have, and as far as I know it’s the only stock he pumped that is above water from regular purchase price during that time and 2.5 X on the private placement. I’d be appreciative for someone to chart AUA.V and give input about future prospects.
Regarding my private placement purchase, those shares got stuck in Computershare no-mans land, with a restriction that has to be removed before being able to do anything with the shares in the US. If anyone has recently dealt with having such a restriction removed, I will also appreciate that information. TIA.
Computershare has an office in OZ.
Have you reached out to them?
Charting wise, unless you are a flipper, I chart monthly (not daily) and would chart quarterly if I could.
My monthly looks better than most and its on a nice (slow) climb.
I assume you need custody of the shares transferred, as you would if you were switching brokerage firms. Confirm they have them, and ask how to do it.
PS, using the monthly bands, R is directly overhead at 51c (and I have topping alerts — they appear once a year for AZS), with S around 29c. Its been snaking between the 2sd bands upwards.
What do your tea leaves say about the beautiful A/D longterm line? Any chance this stock will make a run beyond its former confines?
Thanks for the input. I’m not enthused to try dealing with yet another country, unless someone tells me they’ve had success there.
As far a s charting, it’s longer term that interests me.
When the restriction thing first came up years ago, I was out of the country and unable to deal with it fast enough. Besides, it would have been yet another Spock money-loser to have changed brokers, because there were high fees, at least at the route he advocated.
Ages ago, I got all the info from both Computershare and directly from Arizona G&S. My conclusion at the time was to let it ride and hope it gets up above a buck in share price, as that will likely make it easier to accomplish removal of the restriction. At some point I’ll check again.
Ok, like you I’m trapped in Computer Share hell with a small profit on my shares, different company. In order to get your shares moved to a US brokerage you have ONE option: Fidelity. Fortunately there are no brokerage fees or ongoing fees or charges to open and maintain an account there.
They will transfer your shares once Az Silver reaches a certain capital value threshold. I cannot remember the correct amount but I believe it has to have a market cap of $100 million before Fidelity will transfer the shares to your account. The fees to execute the transfer once that happens is negligible. My shares, though profitable, have to quadruple from here to execute. If you call Fidelity customer service and are persistent you’ll get up to date info.
I’ve researched this to hell and back and it’s the only way I’ve discovered. Hope that helps!
Thanks, silverboom. That’s what I remember from all the research I did way back when, that there’s a threshold. If I remember correctly, AZS.V ‘only’ needs about a double from here to trigger that.
Merry Christmas to you & Mrs. Boom!
And Merry Christmas to you, Goldballoon
We decided to make a book of our 2010 Sprinter Tour of 50 national parks of which you were an enthusiastic supporter. We suddenly realized that we were losing historical posts on FB and everything we wrote about would gradually disappear – thought our kids would like a keepsake of that event. What a job!! Book is 100 pages+ long with original photos included. Didn’t get it done in time for Christmas delivery but early January their copies will arrive.
We ordered one for ourselves to hand to all those people who say “You should write a book.” When they see this landscape format saga their eyes will roll into the back of their heads. Thought you would appreciate that we decided to go down the “documentation” route.
All the best!
Very cool! Good for you guys, I’m happy for you. You visited all the parks and made such beautiful photos of your journey. It will be good not only for your kids, but also for you, to amaze you every time you look and are reminded of all that you were blessed with in just that one trip.
I have not attempted to deal with this problem in a while, but last time, Sprott was willing to deal with and several other Spock members used them to deal with it successfully, but I was late months Sprott party and the started including a 50000 cash balance in the account prior to transfer which wasn’t worth to me at the time
Yes, I remember the deal with Sprott. I believe they also charged a stiff fee to convert the shares for deposit into the new account. Whatever the exact terms of the deal, it was not of interest to me.
