Had a discussion with a Dane who left his country at 19 now 30 and lives in BC

   “Christian” saw the freedoms we had in Canada a decade ago when he arrived on a Work Visa. Got Permanent Residency and is now a Canadian. He keeps in contact with his friends from school. So this comes from them.

   I did not know of the life of a Dane except from a few Lefty 20 somethings here for their Level 1 Ski Instructor’s course. For starters the educational system is free and one receives a monthly stipend to live.
   From the earliest grades to the end of High School it is a constant barrage of socialism of the mind. He saw through it and left.

   The tax system guides how you spend your money. For example buying a car. I may not have this entirely right but if you purchase a car over a certain value, the tax is 250% on that excess amount. Thus the average car has only a 1.2l engine. Most young people do not own a car. It’s a small country so it likely makes sense. I get that but the taxes guide your choice.

   Income Tax approaches 65% at the highest level. To pay for the generous Healthcare and educational programs. The “free drug” program they have is only in designated areas. Not the whole province like BC tried. They don’t tend to have the homeless problem as Mental Health and accommodation is paid for by the State. It’s a true Nanny State.

   You are not allowed to offend people or else. I had not heard this about Denmark. None of the kids thought anything bad about the Migrants. They were taught to accept them I guess.

   The police and CCTV’s are everywhere looking for offenders on the road, etc to levy a fine for some infraction.

   From my experience the Danish youth are so far left that the country is lost. He agreed. I mentioned where a stat showed 92% of the country wanted Harris to win.

   “Christian” has a Filipino girlfriend as the Canadian girls are too woke for him.

   He assured me that BC still has way more freedoms than Denmark. In his mind, the US and Canada are the place to be right now with Trump and Poilievre in the future. He’s counting on Poilievre to turn it around. More of his Canadian Male friends are fed up.
   The female contingent are problematic. The schools have taught victimhood as it applies to Females and People of Colour.

   He is into Bitcoin and Gold. He trades Bitcoin but holds Gold in his possession. Refreshing to hear his view of the World. He would have made a great member of the forum but he is too busy living life to the fullest with his Ford F350 and all his gas guzzling toys. Hahahahahaha This is the BC Interior after all.

   Bottom line is if you like to be coddled from cradle to grave Denmark is a great place to be.

   Give him two thumbs up.
   Then ask him where he thinks he got the nerve to think for himself?
   And why don’t other Danes (or wokey fokey) have the same quality?

   I don’t know the answer either.
   More curiosity? Less sweeping “does not compute” under the rug?
   Do others simply “accept” things that don’t make sense to them?
   (Someone else must know better!??)
