Based on everything reported previously, it was obvious the murderer was an amateur. While he was fairly thorough and planned in advance, he made numerous unforgivable mistakes. Now if it turns out this guy in custody in PA is him,(quite likely)how stupid to hold onto the murder weapon?
Unless, he is trolling the cops by having a second, similiar gun and disposed of the one he used to shoot Thompson? By the way, do they require you to show ID if you use a credit card at McDonalds? Luigi Nicholas Mangione: Police have arrested a 26-year-old man believed to be connected to the murder of UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson, New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch announced Monday. The suspect, Luigi Nicholas Mangione, described as a ‘Democrat indoctrinated millennial punk’, was apprehended in Pennsylvania after a tip led authorities to a McDonald’s.
Officers recovered a weapon consistent with the one used in the targeted attack, along with other critical evidence. “They also recovered clothing, including a mask matching what our wanted individual wore,” Tisch said at a press briefing. Investigators also seized a fraudulent New Jersey ID that Mangione allegedly used to check into a Manhattan hostel before the shooting.
Mangione, who has ties to Maryland, San Francisco, and Honolulu, was found in possession of a “ghost gun” — an untraceable firearm likely made with a 3D printer, capable of firing 9 mm rounds, according to Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny. Police also recovered a three-page document suggesting Mangione harbored “ill will toward corporate America,” Kenny added.
