Faced with the common front of the provinces, Ottawa says it is ready to coordinate the voluntary relocation of asylum seekers from Quebec to other Canadian provinces

The immigration ministers of Quebec, Ontario and Nova Scotia held a virtual meeting with their federal counterpart Marc Miller yesterday, following the summer meeting of the Council of the Federation.

As part of the three-day event in Halifax, all Canadian provinces voted in favour of a “fair distribution” of non-status immigrants across Canada, according to the capacities of each of them.

“To be clear, we are prepared to coordinate transfers and assistance with our counterparts, but any movement of asylum seekers will require their consent and appropriate incentives for the provinces,” Miller said in a written statement Thursday.

I don’t see any mention about coordinating transfer of illegal migrants back to their home countries
