Today, a link to Asia across the Bering Strait would connect to the Belt and Road Initiative. Trade fosters peace between partners.
Russia is all about trade. They have resources.
Imagine DRIVING from BC or the lower 48 out to Nome and then on across into Kamchatka!
But even Vladivostok at the southern tip (and on the coast) has chilly winters! (for those of us not related to polar bears!)
