I think it’s naive to believe our universities are naive. Clearly they’re run by a bunch of statists who are ideological brothers to their Chinese counterparts. They couldn’t care less what the Chinese vacuum up. It won’t affect their tenure or their pensions. No doubt many receive sinecures or research funds for being good little commies. I’m not sure what military technologies Canada has prowess in, but I’m sure the same thing has occurred all over the world for ever. Our governments and corporations have buddied up with China for decades, yet they now expect us to hate them with a passion. The only difference between my government and the Chinese government is competence. Chairman Castreau is a bumbling fool.
