For the benefit of our American brethren, political party colors in Canada are the reciprocal of those chosen by the Republicans and Democrats.
In Canada Blue is the color of the Conservatives, also called Tories. Red is the color of the Liberals (Whigs)

When you expand the map by double clicking, you can examine a detailed map of how major cities are prepared to vote. Toronto is mostly Liberal, Ottawa is a breeding ground infested with liberals, and Montreal is all liberal and Bloc Quebecois.
