Sundance at CTH began explaining this ‘process’ about a year ago.
The Senate Majority Leader on the Republican side wants to SELL votes, not BUY them to satisfy political agendas.
He’s passing that torch on to John Thune (as I understand it). Have not seen confirmation of that. He’s been groomed for that role at least.
The party that DOES NOT have the majority is the party that makes $$$$$ under the current system (am sure they both make money but the big bucks go to those NOT in charge that are needed to get votes passed — you scratch mine with $$$ and I’ll scratch yours (agenda approval).
