Ivermectin paste

   Bimectin oral paste for horses comes in a tube like syringe for administering to horses.

   A 6.42 gm net weight syringe is sufficient to treat up to 600 Kilograms of body weight (horses, humans too)

   Each weight marking on the tube is sufficient to treat 100 kg of body weight.

   As far as I know, one dose should do it. If no improvement after 3 days, take another.

   During pandemic outbreaks some people take 1/2 dose once a week as a precaution.

   Perhaps FGC or some other medical professional will chime in on dose and frequency.

   Now the frequency

   If you are feeling sick….Once a day for a week then taper off to once a week IMO

   Don’t forget to take Zinc with it .

   The one we use is Panomec which has the normal 120 MG of Ivermectin with 24 notches on the tube which is good for a 1200 lb horse. So each notch on the tube is good for 50 lbs. That makes it easy. If you weigh 200 lbs you take 4 notches…Ivermectin is the safest drug on the market so don’t worry about taking too much. That’s better than too little. For people, we follow the Dr Lee Merrit protocol which is take the above dosage once daily for three days in a row, then stop taking it for 5 days; then repeat the same pattern until the tube is gone.The reason is that new parasites begin to hatch as soon as the host that laid the eggs is killed, so you need to break that cycle by killing off the new parasites before they begin laying eggs. The important thing is to DRINK LOTS OF WATER after taking Ivermectin…like a couple glasses full. That helps get it distributed throughout your body and lessons the load on your kidneys and liver. I’m not a doctor but I and many others have followed this protocol for several years with no ill effects.
