There are new mask mandates in Southern California and talk of them coming back in various spots around the country, including a university in Atlanta. Contact tracing too is back, even though that never works for respiratory viruses. Rumors are swirling about new lockdowns for some new variant that is being touted by the World Health Organization (WHO). The predictable CNN is interviewing Pfizer employees about the glories of their new booster just rubber-stamped by the FDA.
And Fauci is out and about defending lockdowns and suggesting that we could have more.

We didn’t push for retribution against the nazis who pulled this crap the first time! We act as though justice comes naturally even as we confront injustice at every turn. This is what causes me to doubt our prospects. The greatest crime against humanity in history hardly makes us sit up and take notice. Have we become comfortably numb?

Every once in a blue moon, I thank K2 for his work in this sometimes lonely outpost. Hat tip to you, K2! You are an essential spar in keeping this tent upright and sturdy, as all Goldtenters would agree. I must admit to feeling a little weary about the coming “flu” season. It’s taking on a “Groundhog Day” feeling that I am not well suited to confront. This is year three. Would that we were far more outraged in years one and two. This seemingly endless struggle highlights your determination. Keep giving them hell, K2!
I suspect Rand Paul hass it right with the most cynical of views…..this is all about the vax companies making noise to get their share price back up. Its worth billions to them to move the needle on shares right now as thye are so beaten down. This little charade abour more mask mandates might be little more than a ploy to extract money out of the companies and place option trades or other levered bets. In other words, its alla bullshit narrative like so many others that move the markets this way or that.
