MUX, EGO or SNWGF
Explosive moves in all, recently.
Sold all of my tiny position in SNWGF but still have tiny positions in MUX and a somewhat larger position in EGO
Question: if SNWGF is a 5-7 bagger even from here on, despite being at ALL time highs, does it make sense to sell MUX and EGO and buy SNWGF?
Or, is selling EGO and MUX now the same blunder as selling SNWGF too early? Not so much of a blunder though as some positions in SNWGF were sold for over 100% gains.
Thanks,
GL
These questions being asked only have to do with price. Think in terms of where they fit in ones portfolio
Plus time frame. If you are aiming for 10 baggers, selling early is like “what?”
Why did you buy what you bought? Is the reason still valid? If so, why sell?
Do you believe gold has finally turned bullish? (learned any lessons yet????) Then why sell? Unless you are planning to rebuy at a later date…
You provide little context for your questions. What is it you are trying to achieve – what’s your objective/objectives?
Sir Plunger,
I’ve kind of had it with the mid-tier and the seniors. If the cash register is to be rung frequently, these are the vehicles.
Therefore I do not see them fitting in my long term portfolio.
Speculating in juniors would be more rewarding IFF gold/silver are off to the races this time.
The right juniors can easily outperform the mid-tiers and the seniors, 3-5X relatively, in a similar timeframe.
I own about 30-35 juniors, and about 15 of them have good “prospects”. These positions have been mostly built in the past 3-4 years. That’s my answer to Sir Silverboom as well. Many of these juniors doubling-tripling will be a non-event, so I should be able to claw back my unrealized losses pretty quickly.
As regards selling SNWGF, I sold incrementally as the price went up. Because many of the other juniors were going deep into the red.
My “trading strategy” so far, of ringing in gains, after the Covid crash and then the rise and the (bigger) fall, at least let me sleep peacefully at night.
I have no doubt that some of these juniors will easily go 5x-10x, and finding the cheap ones, with proceeds realized from small(er) gains in names like MUX, EGO, SA etc. will grow my portfolio.
