According to up-to-date information posted online by the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, Ontario saw some 1,866 deaths by medical assistance in dying (MAiD) from January to May 2023. By comparison, in the first five months of 2022, 1,488 people died by MAiD.

I wonder how many of those poor souls were suffering medical problems from clot shots, or impoverishment through government policies. Step right up. We have a pill for that!
Some of those euthanized people would have killed themselves anyway. There are always suicides. So the government is taking up the slack in a way and keeping it organized and less messy. What I mean is the numbers are not all that meaningful. Not yet anyway because they don’t have context yet. After comparing to the ordinary and expected suicide rate we will get a better idea of whether the program is truly inducing a suicide trend.
