A World On Fire…………………..
But there is a moment in the day when the work is done and perhaps a cocktail comes out or the dishes are washed and the kids are in bed and the room falls silent. At this moment, millions and billions of people the world over know it. Disaster is all around us. We are just pretending otherwise, simply because this is what we have to do.
Well thats a grim view on life .
Unless you’re not really trading, we’re supposed to be the realists in the world.
I don’t have any contacts in the UK, but it seems to be pretty grim from what I’ve been reading from those who are there. I do know that’s also the Dutch take on their winter at this point.
And I wonder too how many Canadians are still locked out of wintering in FL and AZ because of mindless DC rules.
I don’t know about the pretending it’s not real. For me, part of what keeps me sane is the fact that there isn’t a whole lot you can do about the disaster forming around us. Build yourself a bit of a buffer so you’re not in a bind the moment the things you need are cut off. Food, cash, heat, light, water, and maybe protection. The world has never been a safe place, we just never saw the threats to our safety so clearly as we do right now. The old British slogan, Keep Calm and Carry On might be a good attitude in general to adopt. Freaking out and panicking will guarantee failure for sure when faced with any challenge.
