Inflation – I Am INCENSED!
I am outraged. I just stopped into my grocery store to pick up a gallon of generic spring water. Over the years the price increased by various amounts until sometime last year or so it went to .99cents. It stayed there for a number of months, not sure how long as I didn’t pay much attention. Somewhere, maybe 4-6 months ago with this inflation surge, they raised the price by 25+% to $1.25! I thought it excessive at the time but figured OK, rather than nickel and dime the customers over the next year or two, go to $1.25 and be done with it. NOT! Today it is up to $1.39 and you can be sure before long they are going to go to $1.50. How the hell do they get away with 25% to 39%(total on it’s way to 50% likely) for water? This isn’t coffe or chocolate or something you’d expect, it’s freakin spring water!
Same with milk. Its gone up 30% in last few month.
Likely more to do with rising freight costs.
Wait till oil is $150. That water will be $2 or more.
And this time $150 might not be the top for oil.

… US gas prices went approximately 4X during the 1998-2008 14X oil run. Going 3-4X on oil from here does not mean gas prices have to do the same. And chances are, $10-$12 gas in a decade won’t hurt as much then as it feels like it will today. …
Looking for panic selloff dips in oil as buying opportunities. They can’t sell green tech with cheap oil.
Not too long ago (ok maybe two generations ago) paying cash for a container of drinkable water was unheard of.
