Gawd, I am steaming angry. So: the Vancouver Symphony had to resort to streaming concerts on-line this past season. I subscribed and because I feel it’s an important endeavour, also sent a sizeable donation which I had hoped to do every year.

I just received a missive that went out to all their “certain-amount donors”. It covered a few topics but what stood out was the statement, to the effect of “the most important thing you can do to help us open up again to live audiences is to get yourself vaccinated and tel your friends and family to do the same. This is what will influence our provincial health officer to decide whether or not we can re-open”

I’m speechless. How dare they tell their patrons to go get themselves (and their friends/families) injected with an experimental gene therapy and risk untold physical harm because it will appease Dr Bitchface and then she might kindly deign to allow them to re-open.

I’m going to write a scathing letter and tell them they have no right to even suggest this.
