Ya okay, I suppose I should feel a shred of sympathy for those who cannot afford groceries. But after having been asked for the umpteenth time at various grocery stores if I would like to add $2 to my tally “for the food bank” followed by another request for money by someone camped outside the store entrance with a tin can…..well let me put it this way: it’s becoming increasingly difficult to hold my tongue and ask the aforementioned individuals whom they voted for in the last provincial and/or federal election.
Because if the answer is for the provincial NDP or Carnage in the federal, then I would love to say “hey, you voted for this shit, so you must be okay with having inadequate means with which to buy food”

Lest it be thought that the Columbia/GMG household is totally scrooge-y, I assure you that’s not the case. There will be plenty of charitable giving at the end of the year. However, it will be to causes such as Rebel News, freedom fighters defence funds, defence funds for animal cruelty charges, that kind of thing.
To each his own, but I no longer want to hand my hard-earned money over to those who may be voting for parties that want to destroy our country.
