Corporate media is writhing in anguish like a dying oscillating fan. Having ignored Jeffrey Epstein’s well-known proclivities for 20 years, it stings to be forced to report links between the notorious pedophile and one globalist powerhouse after another. Today’s is maybe the most radioactive yet. But Reuters covered it below the bland headline, “Epstein files show Swiss bank CEO de Rothschild kept up years long personal contact with financier.” Media desperately wants this one to go away. Somewhere, Q followers are throwing a vindication party.
Until very recently, if you mentioned “Epstein” and “Rothschild” in the same sentence on social media, you’d get slapped with a “conspiracy theory” label faster than a MAHA activist at a Pfizer press conference. A certain community of internet researchers —let’s just say they enjoy the 17th letter of the alphabet— tried to tell people years ago that Epstein’s web reached into the most powerful banking dynasties in Europe. They were mocked, deplatformed, and called dangerous.
This week, the U.S. Department of Justice released the receipts.
Meet ‘Baroness’ Ariane de Rothschild. She’s 60 years old, French-German, and since 2023 has served as CEO of the hyper-exclusive Geneva-based Edmond de Rothschild private bank— which oversees an eye-watering $237 billion for those whose lifestyles require the utmost privacy, or something. Ariane married into the family in 1999, joining one of Europe’s oldest and most storied banking dynasties, tracing back to 18th-century Frankfurt. In 2021, her husband died, making her the first female to ever run a Rothschild financial institution.
For readers unfamiliar with the ancient Rothschild banking empire, it has been a fixture of global finance since the late 1700s, when Mayer Amschel Rothschild —a Frankfurt moneylender— placed each of his five sons at the head of a banking house in a different European capital: London, Paris, Frankfurt, Vienna, and Naples. Mayer Rothschild figured out that governments borrow money with the careful planning and parsimonious economy of chimpanzees in zoos who throw rotten plums at tourists. His strategy worked spectacularly.
A dynasty and bloodline were born.
Within a generation, the Rothschild family was financing both sides of the Napoleonic Wars and had become the wealthiest family in recorded history. Over two centuries, the Rothschild network evolved into a sprawling web of private banks, investment houses, and asset management firms spanning the globe. Today, Rothschild-branded institutions manage hundreds of billions in assets for the world’s ultra-wealthy, and the family’s octopus-like influence extends everywhere— central banking, sovereign debt, natural resources, and geopolitics.
For decades, anyone who questioned a single dynastic family wielding this kind of global, cross-border financial power —or suggested that such power might sometimes be exercised in ways that don’t exactly prioritize the interests of ordinary citizens— was dismissed as a “lizard people” conspiracy theorist.
But the Epstein files aren’t asking you to take the word of some random TikTok influencer. Trump’s DOJ just exposed an Earth-shattering series of emails that the Rothschilds always assumed would always stay private.
The Rothschild financial empire might be the most powerful globalist entity in history. As the family’s public head and CEO, Ariane de Rothschild is about as powerful and connected as it gets in European banking.
According to thousands of pages of newly-released DOJ documents, Ariane and Jeffrey Epstein were way more than mere ‘business acquaintances,’ as she’s insisted ever since concerns surfaced in a careful Wall Street Journal article in 2023. In other words, she’s been lying like a Persian rug.
While the songbirds of disaster were chirping merrily in the spring of 2013, Norwegian diplomat Terje Roed-Larsen —architect of the Oslo Accords— first introduced Epstein to Ariane de Rothschild through a middleman named Olivier Colom, a former adviser to French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Colom then joined the Edmond de Rothschild Group as its secretary general.
In an October 18th, 2013 email, Colom wrote to Epstein: “Ariane talks about you every day and the advice you gave her last Sunday by the way. And her mum likes you as well.” Everybody loves Jeffrey. Colom and Epstein exchanged dozens of messages that Le Monde called, “often vulgar and sexist.” In one June 2013 message to Colom, for instance, Epstein casually mentioned he was “on my island in the Caribbean, with an aquarium full of girls.”
In 2013, when Epstein wrote this, he’d been a registered sex offender for nearly five years. You can’t make it up.
An unnamed insider at the Edmond de Rothschild Group tried to explain how Epstein pulled the wool over their eyes, saying, “He had put together a very elaborate story: ‘I made a mistake, I paid my debt, the justice system let me out.’ It was the very American rhetoric of a second chance.”
Uh huh. A whole aquarium of elites, swimming with “second chances.”
? Ariane de Rothschild’s name appears over 4,400 times in the DOJ’s Epstein file database.
The correspondence —dozens of personal emails over roughly six years, from 2013 until months before Epstein’s 2019 arrest— reads less like banker-client and more like best buds. They met regularly for breakfasts and dinners in Geneva, New York, and Paris. She appeared on a chic October 2015 guest list of about ten distinguished guests for Epstein’s birthday party that included the Norwegian diplomat, Roed-Larsen, former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak, American intellectual Noam Chomsky, and French film producer Caroline Lang.
Just four months before his arrest in 2019, Epstein texted that he was in Paris. Ariane responded: “Are you really?!! I’m here as well. When would you be free?” Epstein replied in his typical mangled diction, “Its been much much too long.”
In one of the more darkly suggestive discussions, in 2015, Ariane said she’d made some custom-scented candles for Epstein. Not Yankee Candle seasonals. Bespoke, personalized, hand-made candles inscribed with his “favorite mathematical formula” —whatever that means for a diabolical sex trafficker— and scented, in her words, specifically “for you only.” And then she added a mysterious but skin-crawling detail: “It fits with your island.”
The imagination boggles. Whatever that bizarre temple on Little St. James was, Ariane de Rothschild was making custom aromatherapy for it.
Behold: the global élite
Listing all the hijinks disclosed in the 4,400 emails will have to wait for the book version. But in one exchange, Ariane complained to Epstein about “B” —“he’s a disaster”— and Epstein promptly invited her to stay with him in Manhattan. “No one would be the wiser,” he cooed. (Ariane was almost certainly talking about her husband, Benjamin de Rothschild, who kicked the bucket in 2021.)
In another long series of emails, Epstein personally mediated a catfight between the baroness and her cousin and long-time rival, David de Rothschild. Epstein, a convicted sex offender, functioned as a sort of consigliere for the global Rothschild family. It reminds me of that scene from Breaking Bad, where druggie Jessie Pinkman corrects his friend Badger, “No, man. We don’t need a ‘criminal lawyer.’ We need a criminal lawyer.” (Enter Saul Goodman.)
Setting all these minor issues aside, around this point in the disgraceful timeline, with Epstein at the peak of his Rothschild influence, the Obama Administration entered the chat.
? In 2013, the U.S. Department of Justice cracked down on Swiss banks for helping Americans hide assets. The Edmond de Rothschild Group was one of the targets. They urgently needed a Washington fixer.
Who else would Ariane call? Not only did Epstein know lots of important folks, but also he was intimately familiar with the American criminal justice system.
Epstein introduced Ariane to Kathryn Ruemmler — Obama’s White House Counsel—who was then a partner at the law firm Latham & Watkins. Ruemmler called somebody at DOJ, and on December 18, 2015, the DOJ settled with the bank for $45 million, which was roughly half the original $80 million demand, and dropped criminal charges.

For his services, the Rothschild Group paid Epstein (via one of his companies based in the U.S. Virgin Islands) the princely sum of $25 million. A draft agreement dated October 5, 2015, memorialized the deal as “risk analysis and algorithm-related services.”
Whatever. In truth, among his other nefarious activities, Epstein sold solutions. He had it down to a science.
In other words, the Rothschilds paid Epstein $25 million to negotiate with the same Department of Justice that was theoretically supposed to be holding him accountable. And the lawyer he connected them with was the former top attorney for the President of the United States. Epstein probably received other payments beyond the $25 million. The bank would only say that the island hopper “assisted it with various tasks like introducing top executives, risk analysis, and tax advice.”
Now let’s talk about Kathy Ruemmler — because this is where the web connects to Washington, and becomes even more personal to us Americans.
Kathryn Ruemmler was Obama’s longest-serving White House Counsel from 2011 to 2014 —the President’s top personal lawyer inside the White House. (Before that, she was associate White House counsel to Clinton.) After leaving government, she became a partner at Latham & Watkins. As I write this, she’s the chief legal officer at mega-investment firm Goldman Sachs.
According to the new DOJ files, Ruemmler and Epstein had extensive communications from 2014 to 2019. She called him “Uncle Jeffrey” and “wonderful Jeffrey,” writing “I adore him” in a December 2015 email. Epstein showered her with expensive gifts: a $9,350 Hermès handbag, $10,000 in Bergdorf Goodman gift cards, and an Apple Watch with a Hermès leather band she specifically requested: “I love the Hermes one! If truly okay with him to do the Hermes, I would love the 40mm, stainless Hermes with bleu indigo swift leather double tour.”
Those are just some perks of former government service. Enthusing in another January 2019, email, Ruemmler bragged, “Am totally tricked out by Uncle Jeffrey today! Jeffrey boots, handbag, and watch!”
This is Obama’s former White House Counsel. The top lawyer for the President of the United States. Gushing over luxury gifts from a registered sex offender. Luxury gifts that were birdseed in the grand scheme of things; a few thousand in luxuries thrown at a top Democrat, and the Rothschilds’ criminal problems went away.
Remember, it was Epstein who introduced Kathy Ruemmler to Ariane de Rothschild in September 2014. Ruemmler then negotiated the bank’s DOJ settlement, cutting their fine in half and closing the investigation. This is the triangle: Epstein connects a Rothschild to Obama’s lawyer, who fixes the Rothschilds’ federal problem, and Epstein pockets $25 million for making the introduction.
Epstein worked his Ruemmler connection hard. Another time in May, 2015, Epstein asked Ruemmler to give Woody Allen’s wife, Soon-Yi, a private White House tour. Epstein asked whether the filmmaker —another notorious pedophile— could come too, or would he be too “politically sensitive?” Tellingly, Ruemmler said Woody was no problem, but Epstein couldn’t come.
A convicted sex offender asked Obama’s former top White House lawyer to give a private White House tour to a man notoriously accused of child abuse. And she said, “What time would work for you?”
The only person too radioactive for the Obama White House was Epstein himself.
In 2017, an unnamed third party (name redacted) told Epstein that Bill Gates “wants to talk to you but his wife won’t let him.” Epstein came up with the idea of using Kathy Ruemmler to sell Epstein’s better features and convince a skeptical Melinda that everything was fine. “Bill met my friend Kathy Ruemmler, Obama counsel for 5 yrs. She would love to sit with Melinda and give her the other side of Jeffrey.” He added, “She is an arch feminist who is my great defender.”
Bill should’ve listened to his wife. Well, his ex-wife, now.
Obama’s White House Counsel— the woman who advised the President of the United States. Epstein’s “great defender.” Goldman Sachs’ top lawyer. ‘Niece’ of Uncle Jeffrey. All the same person.
When Epstein was finally arrested at Teterboro Airport on July 6, 2019, handwritten law enforcement notes show he made three phone calls from the FBI vehicle. (Agents were eavesdropping from the front seat.) One of the three calls was to Kathryn Ruemmler at 7:15 p.m. “Oh, this is bad,” Epstein groaned as he spoke to her. “This is really bad.”
Uncle Jeffrey was right about that. He’d soon be dead, or whatever.
As Charlie Brown would have said, Good Grief. What does all this teach us?
Well, for one thing, the big picture is getting a lot clearer. Jeffrey Epstein was obviously much more than just a sex offender with a good Rolodex. Adding to a growing evidence locker of known influence peddling, it’s now a proven fact that he operated as a middleman, advisor, best buddy, and unofficial fixer for one of the most powerful banking families in the world. He brokered their family disputes. He suggested names for their corporate restructuring. He arranged meetings with heads of state.
He pitched selling their bank and asked for 5%. He earned at least $25 million with their group. He introduced them to the former White House Counsel— who then fixed their federal case. And that same Washington power player was receiving Hermès handbags from him, arranging White House tours for his friends, and calling him “Uncle Jeffrey,” years after his first conviction.
One easily overlooked fact in today’s sordid story leapt out and grabbed my collar, demanding attention: Those handwritten FBI notes from Epstein’s last car ride, which recorded his call to Kathy Ruemmler. That kind of thing could easily have been omitted or redacted from the final production. But it wasn’t. Almost like it was meant to be found.
Surreally, against all odds, the Rothschild empire is now teetering on the precipice of existential disaster. It looks like a house of cards that the kids built out on the porch, and the wind is picking up. Somehow, like cockroaches after a nuclear war, the Rothschild empire has survived centuries of conflict, changing borders, WWI and WWII, communism, fascism, geopolitics, and even infighting. But now, emails about weirdly scented candles threaten to tear it all down, maybe for good.
Is it getting easier to see now how Epstein got away with it for so long? With Kathy Ruemmlers and Rothschilds having his back, not to mention the Clintons, Prince Andrewses, Peter Mandselsons, and Bill Gateses, the bigger miracle is that his reign of terror ended at all.
In 2008, Epstein’s connections got him off the hook with a friendly judge, a passive US attorney, home arrest, and a sweetheart one-misdemeanor deal. But in 2019, he never lived long enough to work his connections. Weird.
Despite having an army of politicians, royals, banksters, celebrities, and billionaires covering for him, Uncle Jeffrey ran smack dab into the one immovable obstacle he couldn’t handle: Trump. And in death (or whatever), Epstein is pulling down with him a growing cascade of global power players. (Expect to see more Americans outed this week.) Last week, the day after the document dump, the New York Times sneered at the new DOJ disclosures and called them a ‘nothing burger.’ But a week later, the worldwide Epstein drumbeat is becoming overwhelming.
There’s another massive reckoning brewing. The Epstein files writ large are becoming an irresistible call for desperate action. Setting aside questions about shady intelligence connections, what screams from the page is institutional rot and corruption. Congress must do something —something big— to shut down for good all this pay-to-play access to current and former government officials. I’m not sure what exactly. Maybe ultra-transparency. Maybe anti-lobbying laws. Maybe a new rule: if you work in government, you can’t leave and then turn around and lobby your old buds for favors. Something.
The people who tried to tell us all this was happening were sidelined as conspiracy theorists. Turns out they were just early.
To me, this certainly begs the question … when and where and how did DOJ finally latch on to these 3m files?
When some were sitting (or not) on her desk, where was all the rest, and is it possible that these have been “laying in wait” all this time?
Someone whose footprint is this pervasive, does not have his files squirreled away in some corner requiring Sherlock to find them. Yet if Biden & Obama & Co had access to them years ago, how was all this incriminating evidence preserved? (versus digital bleach bit). Did Elon’s DOGE team “make a copy” when they said they “Had it all”?
Has Bondi been doing “her loyal duty” all along? Helping to set this trap?
