Dell says roughly a billion PCs are still running Windows 10 despite Microsoft ending mainstream support in October. During Dell’s latest earnings call, COO Jeffrey Clarke said 500 million Windows machines are too old to run Windows 11, while another 500 million are capable but haven’t upgraded yet. StatCounter data shows Windows 10 installed on 42.62% of desktops compared to Windows 11’s 53.79%.
