I realize this is insignificant compared to all that’s going on right now, but having just (this morning) received the third CT scan in my life (this one for a head injury-all was fine, no subdural haemorrhage or arterial dissection) I am freaked out about the cumulative risk of these for developing cancer. I mean, they will not cover any of your body with lead during the procedure and believe me, I asked.

There’s the Tippens protocol for established cancer, and some on this forum have used it, but am wondering if anyone could shed some light on the idea of taking fen-ben prophylactically after receiving a whopping dose of radiation. Definitely a shorter course of drug and a lesser amount I’d think. Any thoughts?
