Holman puts on a brave face but it feels like capitulation as Democrats and MSM achieve victory by forcing a drawdown of resources as Republicans shift focus to illegal criminals vs ALL illegals. There are at least 35 million illegal aliens in U.S. — DHS is on track to deport 2 million in 4 years, not even 6 percent of the total.
This will be celebrated as a “woke victory” and spread to other blue states.
Republicans control house, senate and executive branches yet are unable to coalesce into one united team.
Likely to negatively impact Republicans for the mid-term elections.

Holman gave a GREAT press conference — tremendous results and execution — AND my original comments stand. This 700 person drawdown will be treated as a capitulation to the Democrat position by the MSM and weakness on the part of the Republican government. It will hurt them in mid-terms.
Time (as always) will tell ……… watch for MSM headlines later today/tomorrow to see how this will be “played”.

I completely agree with FGC’s take above. The key is stopping the negative perception. By focusing on the criminals and using the resources to attack as many blue and purple states as possible before the midterms. Focus needs to be concentrated on vote mechanics. Voter ID, ending mail in voting, using paper ballots etc.
