The commander of a Ukrainian Armed Forces reconnaissance unit, Denis Yaroslavsky, proposes forcibly mobilizing foreigners with residence permits in Ukraine.

About 100,000 such men of conscription age live in Ukraine.

Yaroslavsky believes they should be obliged to fight for Ukraine by signing a six-month contract.

He says the idea is being “considered” by the General Staff and is supported by many people’s deputies.
