New less stringent guidelines have been released today from the RCDSO (Dentistry Czars)

The last one is a doozy ! ..You cannot make this up

The percentage target for airborne contaminant removal has been reduced from 99.9% to 99% resulting in shorter fallow times.

So after a patient is discharged from an operatory the air has to be “cleaned ” but only 99% of it ( you can still leave 1% of it there)

This is a big deal apparently as before it was 99.9% (.1% of the “old” air can remain)
