After months of regional buildup, President Donald Trump green lit one of the boldest joint operations raids in the history of modern warfare.

They black-bagged, and captured alive, the leader of the most militarized country in South America, who was already on high alert, before he could make it from his bed, to his safe room. They even took his wife for good measure.

Not one operator was lost, not one plane, helicopter or ship. This, despite additional Pantsir-S1 and Buk-M2 air defense systems arriving in Venezuela from Russia as recently as October. These two countries previously enjoyed close ties for nearly a century, as a result of American companies finding, funding and building the entirety of the Venezuelan oil industry starting in the early 1910s. Without American investment and technical work, Venezuela would not have gone on to become the wealthiest country in South America, which it was from 1950 until 1996.

What, at the time, was a first world country, became a third word despotic hell, after the 1999 election saw the rise to power of Hugo Chavez, who would oversee a national transformation of the bureaucracy via his state capture scheme termed a “Bolivarian Revolution.”

This revolution had dramatic second and third order effects. In order to remain in power, elections were rigged, something the regime became so good at, that they began exporting elections-as-a-service, around the world. This would alter American history, as people will soon learn, in 2020.

Venezuelan oil reserves, the worlds largest, were weaponized to maintain prices, and provide a lifeline to a pseudo-communist regime in Beijing, alongside propping up what remains of the Castro Cuban revolution. Venezuelan territory was used freely by South American narcotics traffickers to launch shipments by boat and air to the shores of North America, as well as human traffickers sending people West and North through the Darien Gap.

Venezuelan cash has funded countless groups agitating within the United States and broader West. It has been laundered by the billions through American banks and real estate, funded information operations and facilitated the creation of decentralized criminal gang networks in cities and towns across North America.

The country became such a circus, that even Hezbollah, the Lebanese para-military outfit, used it as a staging area for their never ending thirst for Jihad.

All of this now ends. The Monroe Doctrine has gone from something American leadership talks about, to something they implement.

The United States has achieved total energy dominance, and will soon have the power to lower energy prices at will. With a few hundred guys on the ground, all of whom returned to their families, a crushing blow has been dealt to Russian, Iranian and Chinese ambitions. South America has historically been used as playground for the CIA/Deep State to engage in racketeering.

Because success in war isn’t going to be defined by how much Ukraine steals from Canadian tax payers. It’s only when Russia has said enough. I think we all need to recognize that we are living through the 2nd American Civil War, and it might require some Lincoln-era governance to resolve this situation.

During the 1st Civil War, Lincoln imposed martial law and suspended the writ of habeus corpus many times, without Congressional approval, and essentially told Congress and the Supreme Court to fuck off, and he did what he needed to do in order to save the Republic from the ongoing rebellion.

Lincoln is widely considered as the greatest and most consequential President in American history. Scholars consider him greater than Washington.

There are quite a lot of similarities between now and the Civil War.

Trump faces many of the same obstacles that Lincoln faced.
