The decision to go to war in Iran may be controversial, but voters overwhelmingly have positive opinions about the U.S. military – and see their current mission as a success.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 81% of Likely U.S. Voters view the United States military favorably, including 53% with a Very Favorable impression. Just 15% have an unfavorable opinion of the U.S. military

Majorities of every political category – 91% of Republicans, 75% of Democrats and 76% of voters not affiliated with either major party – have at least a somewhat favorable opinion of the U.S. military.

Similarly, 81% of Republicans, 56% of Democrats and 55% of unaffiliated voters think the U.S. military attacks against Iran have been at least somewhat successful.
Slightly more men (57%) than women voters (49%) have a Very Favorable impression of the U.S. military, and more men (69%) than women voters (59%) view the military operation in Iran as successful.
