Iranian drones struck branches of the U.S. bank Citibank in Dubai and in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the attacks, saying they were retaliation for recent strikes against two Iranian banks.

Separately, on March 12 Reuters reported that Citibank intends to close several of its branches in the UAE amid rising tensions with Iran.
