10 yr ribbon been poised for a get go for some time now, Trump knows this too and his urgency to drop them shows, however I wish him good luck as the world dictates. Higher rates+ higher dollar = foreign debt holders in US$ pay more = good luck coming up with some extra scratch.
Honestly, just add this feather into your “why the hell I like PM’s now” cap as the US Gov’t will move mountains to keep rates down in order to refinance the 9 trillion in US Debt hitting the market for refinancing. They will print and buy treasuries like nobody’s business. Dollar is the sacrifice. We are turning Japanese….US Gov’t, aka the Fed, will become the biggest buyer and holder of Treasuries. Add on the Treasuries that will be dumped by Europe bc they don’t like Trump’s proposal to take over Greenland. What is chaos?
