The #1 Netflix movie for Dec in Canada and the US was shot in my hometown, Sun Peaks, BC last Winter.
GMG was a background actor for two days but ended up in about 10 seconds of the final cut.
Background actors are positioned in the background and are used for continuity of the retakes. So they can control the scene.
All her outdoor scenes in -14 C did not make the cut. She has decided that it was fun for the first hour or so but then it gets tedious. Froze her ass off one day.

She wanted to experience what it was like. Likely never again as one is treated like a prop. A shitty way to make a living.
They needed more skiers so she talked me into signing up for one day. I am in one scene but off in the distance. 2-3 seconds of screen time totally unrecognizable but was there 8 hours. I met professional background actors who get gigs within the Hollywood North geographic area. It’s mindless work, rather dig ditches. First paid job for me in 21 years:)
The male lead is a really nice guy. When I was waiting with a fellow “ski instructor” he came over with a tray of donuts. At the time I didn’t know what his part was as one only sees snippets of the plot and action.
