   In other words, you are saying silver has a long ways to go and some heavy lifting to do.

     It is an elegant illustration of a hypothesis. The hypothesis is based on multiple other hypotheses or assumptions, which the illustration depicts. Certainly in aesthetic and emotional and possibly other ways I like it and hope it works out.

     The illustration nicely includes a label showing what is to happen for the hypothesis to be doubted or rejected.

       Appreciate the comment Karl. Taking recent constructive feedback into account, I’m going to try to include a label or statement on every chart I produce which makes it clear when the chart becomes invalid and at which point an alternative scenario could be developing.

     I’ve used the bowl in your various gold charts primarily as an indicator of how much time was left, at the outside, for gold to turn back up. Violate that and the whole gold bull thesis gets tossed. But I don’t see why it’s an absolute requirement that the completed bowl get realized (that the total time be used). In this case, why can’t silver -already less disciplined chart wise than gold -simply turn up much sooner?

   I found the offending comment Nortstar and commented below it.

   This was completely out of the blue and completely uncalled for .

   It demands an apology.

   I don’t know if one is forthcoming but if not…let me apologize for this slanderous comment.

   Thankfully this type of thing is very rare here.

   I fully understand your position at this time.

   I ask that you take time to reconsider based on the fact that 99% of the folks here respect your work and endeavour to work together to solve the riddle of the Gold market.

     Yes, I could not add anything more to make a stronger case. I left a comment for you also.
     What we need more than anything that you bring is objectivity. You know more than anyone that there are no absolutes only probabilities.
     I just had such a good exchange with you a few days ago about charting.

     Very much too bad.

     Although I am inclined to cut down my paid subscriptions from their current 2, if Northstar were to have offered a paid subscription service, I’d have been seriously tempted (though he would have been too busy with his regular work).

     I do not necessarily share all his premises or agree with his methodology. I have no strong idea whether his tentative predictions will prove correct. But his charts are intelligent, honest, carefully thought out and well-constructed. They respect the viewer’s intelligence and provide a lot of information and ideas in a fashion that can be digested with remarkable efficiency. They are also fun to look at. Or were.

     A hypothesis: Provided that the Au price does not explode (a premise that is shaky), I expect that traffic will stay approximately constant as people check to see whether Northstar reappears. If he does not, and PM prices don’t explode, I expect traffic to slump.

         I believe personal attacks and/or offending comments should not be tolerated on this forum. Anybody has the right to have another opinion or being critical of somebody’s charts, but please stay polite and constructive. And If you do not like it, leave the forum. Fully, I suggest you should intervene as moderator in order to maintain quality posting on this forum and maybe temporarily block any author that gets personal and/or offending. If not we will all be forced to visit Twitter as a consequence.

   Northstar: Kindly reconsider. I’ve admired your work because you think like a scientist: your conclusions come from the evidence in front of you. Your charts are stong, your thinking solid, and no arrogance. Clearly you have strong supporters here.

   NS, I thought I’d give it one last shot. Three things come to mind.
   It’s going to be a shame to not share in a new bull market with you after all the work and guidance you have shared with us.
   Some of us are not chartists, we just rely on you guys that know what you are doing.
   I can only speak for myself, but I miss the comradery.
   And finally, how would Plunger have handled the criticism? He would have either shrugged it off or kicked the guys ass!
