Belarus has announced that Russia’s Oreshnik intermediate-range nuclear capable ballistic missile system has been deployed on its territory, though details and specifications – including range – of the projectile remain secretive.

On Tuesday, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense released a video it claims shows the Oreshnik system being deployed inside the country. It featured Russian troops and technicians in a ceremonial flag-raising while stationed in Belarus, along with a convoy of vehicles moving into a field-based firing position before being concealed under camouflage netting.

In a matter of less than a year, Russian scientific know-how came up with four bangers:

1. Oreshnik: hypersonic missile, already tested in the Ukraine battleground.

2. Burevestnik: Or “Stormbringer”, with that nice Deep Purple ring. Nuclear cruise missile with unlimited range.

3. Poseidon: nuclear-powered torpedo, capable of loitering underwater, undetected, for unlimited time; then, at a command, strikes enemy coasts with a nuclear payload, provoking a radioactive tsunami. Largely exceeds the destructive power of the Sarmat, Russia’s largest ICBM.

4. Khabarovsk: nuclear sub. Call him The Messenger of Doom: capable of delivering at least 6 Doomsday-enabling Poseidons.

The Europeans have taken yet more ‘counter-Russia’ actions amid widespread allegations that Moscow has sponsored sabotage campaigns targeting EU communications infrastructure. Finnish authorities have newly detained a cargo ship suspected of damaging an undersea communications cable. The vessel has been identified as the Fitburg, and had departed St. Petersburg, Russia and was traveling toward Israel when it was intercepted by Finnish authorities.

Like with other similar cable cutting allegations, officials admit there’s no smoking gun proof at this point.

This comes after the Supreme Court ruling in Trump Admin v. Chicago, where they ruled that Trump was not allowed to send NG troops to Chicago to defend federal buildings, but Kavanaugh outlined in his opinion that Trump would be allowed to send Active Duty US MIL into Chicago via the Insurrection Act.

We are one step closer to Trump invoking the Insurrection Act!

Here is a snapshot of our Gann Extensions on the silver chart. Silver has a further decline baked in the cake should it reach down to the bottom of the colored bars. It will not avoid going to 65.58 at this stage (probably tomorrow) but what happens next is our main concern. Should silver hit the 100% line and keep falling then look out below. Keep an eye on that key number and be ready to bail on shares if it breaks lower. A bounce however, especially one that reverses the current downtrend just BEFORE hitting the 65.58 target can be seen as bullish.

Many things happen in three’s and are described as such.  Three times a charm, three strikes and your out, etc.  The later may turn out to be the case for what happens with Silver and as a result the global financial system.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       As I explained at the time, I was concerned by what happened on Thanksgiving evening, when the Comex shut down trading because some entity was on the verge of collapse if Silver was allowed to keep trading(and rising) as it was doing at the time.  The second Holliday was just last week on Christmas night and Boxing Day Friday, when Silver exploded higher and led to the demise of some hedge fund or financial entity that couldn’t meet their margin call on their short silver futures position.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Today, is New Year’s Eve and Thursday is the third consecutive holliday, with a possible negative outcome for the financial markets and ultimately, the global financial system.  Will it be the “third time is a charm” or “three strikes and you are out?”  Enjoy your New Year’s celebration, because 2026, is unlikely to be a fun year.

For the last half hour or more everything has dried up to almost a crawl.  I guess all the traders have finished whatever they wanted to do for the year end session and have already left the building.  This should have been one of those half day, 1PM closes because it looks like no one is doing anything.  Not just metals, but stocks as well.  I can’t remember it being this quiet, in quite some time.

In addition to all that, Trump has been stopping all wars around the globe and shifting public perception.

Necessary pieces are in place that were not in place before.

If there was ever a time to be optimistic, it’s right now.

Your breakeven is 12% above the current GDX price (@98.15) and your max gain is 300% at 130 or better.  Once I cash out of some GLD and SLV calls, this is how I will then play leverage.  I will go out at least 6 months to allow for crazy price moves. I have enough confidence to put on this trade and expect GDX to be at least 12% higher in June.  If it hits 130 (48% higher), you make 300%, basically 6x leverage.  Not investment advice, just what I plan on doing to turbo my gains in trading accounts.
