As you’ve pointed out, AI loses money for every user who uses it. Once the bubble pops and VCs stop eating the cloud computing costs and the AI companies have to charge for the actual resources consumed by AI the cost will be so prohibitively expensive it will be cheaper to hire people for many tasks vs. using AI.
Yes, hiring people will be less expensive than paying for AI.
The whole bubble is built on the subsidization of cloud computing costs. As AI becomes more complex it consumes more and more resources further driving up cloud demand and energy costs. For it to become complex enough to actually take someone’s job and do it properly it will be mostly unprofitable without VC subsidies.
WOW
This is a new perspective and breath of fresh air IMO
Thanks for this pedro
Robotics for manufacturing is an entirely different animal and provides cost efficient usages but is not AI.
This is where the reduction in workforce will come from.
