Ukraine is looking like the rout is about to begin. I’m not sure it matters much what the west does. Russia will now decide what the map looks like. I can’t see the White House or the Pentagon allowing Matt Gaetz to decide the funding for the war.
They might not be happy about it but all spending originates from the House. Now that it is no longer being run by Nancy Pelosi, the money spigot is going to become more restrictive. They are still going to spend but they aren’t going to just rubber stamp whatever Joe and the Pentagon want.

This is sometimes been referred to as the final rape/pillage of the financial system & “there is no more money to steal because it’s all been stolen already”.
The house could turn off the spigot and DoD could continue for a long time by simply finding some of the missing $26T (if they so desired).
