Two Bears in One Year? (by Dr. Suess)
Based on one metric, the S&P 500 is currently the most overvalued it’s ever been. Maybe it’s different this time, but I doubt it. Could we have two bear markets with 12 months of each other? We have roughly 6 months left to find out. Would not surprise me in the least after the way the Feds poured gas on the markets.
Not sure of the criteria you are defining a bear market (gawd only hopes its not the mindless CNBC definition of -20%), but IAW Dow Theory a bear market was signaled on Dec 14 2018, backdated to Oct 3 2018. This was a valid Phase III bear signal that has never been reversed at this time. I prefer to use Dow Theory as it is a consistent means of defining these things.
Is the Empire going to allow the stock market to go down before Nov 03? Nope. Is the Empire going to allow the gold silver and miners to go down before the election. Absolutely!
How are you trading it Scott?
Still tracking the QQQ’s for a sign of a top (break of a swing low and/or break of the lower trend line). At that time I will buy PSQ.
Traderscott,
Please share a price (range) for buying PSQ.

I think we did a DeMark 9 exhaustion yesterday. But nothing seems to work anymore.
We have broken the GLD daily uptrend since March.
This time isn’t different, you are just drawing the incorrect historical analogy IMO. This isn’t 1999 or 2008. This is Zimbabwe 2006:
Who is to say, that the American exceptionalism, might even leave Zimbabwe’s example in the dust, eventually!
But first we will do a Turkey, a Venezuela, an Argentina, may be, in that order? Ha ha .. Turkey it is for Thanksgiving!

Nautilus. IMHO The US cannot experience hyperinflation. We are the worlds reserve currency. We have the largest military and can force our trading partners to continue to use the worlds reserve currency. Thats why Russia Iran Venezuela Nigeria sell oil in US Dollars. China pays for oil with US Dollars. When/if the US no longer has the biggest stick than we might get hyperinflation. In 1942 the US increased its balance sheet 11 fold and everyone said it was the end of the dollar. We have not done so bad since then. We can take our balance sheet to 50 trillion and we will be fine. We are a massively wealthy nation with tremendous assets probably totally over 200 trillion so a little 7 trillion dollar balance sheet and 25 trillion dollar deficit is not much.
Oh I think it is very possible to experience hyperinflation, and it is precisely because we are the world reserve currency. Could they launch WWIII to stave off that outcome? Sure.
That which can’t be sustained won’t be.
