Subject: Dispute of Account Balance – Request for Documentation
Dear Ms. Mendez,
I am writing in response to your recent emails regarding an alleged past-due balance of $406.71 on account number 99021233-7873.
At this time, I dispute this balance.
My home security service was originally with Bell and was transferred to a.p.i. Alarm. At that time, I was informed that no action was required on my part and that payments would continue automatically. Since that transfer, I have not received any invoices, billing statements, or notices regarding an outstanding balance until your recent emails.
Given this, I request the following documentation before I can assess this matter further:

A complete billing history for my account (month-by-month)
A copy of the service agreement or transfer documentation from Bell
Proof of any invoices or communications sent to me over the past year
Clarification as to why no billing or notification was provided during this period

Until this information is provided, I do not acknowledge this balance as valid.
Please also confirm whether my account is currently active and whether any services are being provided.
I would appreciate your prompt response so this matter can be resolved.
