Iran says that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed unless the United States pays war reparations – THE IRAN WATCHER
The Supreme Leader’s senior military adviser, Mohsen Rezaei, rejected any U.S. proposal to reopen the critical waterway, saying Tehran will not accept concessions without compensation for war damages and “tangible benefits” for the Islamic Republic.
Rezaei dismissed Washington’s terms as “unrealistic” and signaled the regime will continue its policy of “resistance” despite economic pressure and ongoing negotiations.
The message from Tehran is clear: the Islamic Republic believes it can outlast and pressure the U.S. by leveraging one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints.
