US intelligence says Iran can outlast Trump’s Hormuz blockade for months – Washington Post
A confidential CIA analysis delivered to administration policymakers this week concludes that Iran can survive the U.S. naval blockade for at least three to four months before facing more severe economic hardship, four people familiar with the document said, a finding that appears to raise new questions about President Donald Trump’s optimism on ending the war.
Very confused messaging — IF the 3 to 4 month estimate it is from today (how this reads), then what happened to the oil wells have to be shut down due to lack of storage facilities (and once they do they are toast). This morning it was reported that 3 -4 tankers are docked at Karge Island for loading of Iranian Oil yet the Strait of Hormuz is supposedly blockaded (I think this was part of the oil spill articles). It does not feel like we are receiving accurate information on what is really happening here!
“It does not feel like we are receiving accurate information on what is really happening here!”
Certainly not consistent.
Was the first round of attacks (last year) on nuclear facilities effective?
Who is in charge there, and can ANY dealings with ANYONE result in a lasting deal?
Iran still has missiles. It still is an effective threat in Hormuz.
So what is the American strategy and can it prevail? I have major doubts.
‘Short, surgical, and done’ was someone’s fantasyland.
Is there an exit route? (here we go again).
THE CIA WAS CONFIDENTIAL BUT IT LEAKED …..SO WHO LEAKED IT AND WHY AND IS THIS REPORT CREDIBLE ?
WHO STANDS TO GAIN POLITICALLY FROM SUCH A “LEAK”
HOW OFTEN ARE THESE “LEAKS” CREDIBLE ?
