“War is approaching. Brussels has intensified its involvement in the war in Ukraine. Now, it is preparing for war. It has already adopted a war economy. They don’t want to avoid problems, they are heading towards them. More weapons, more money, more troops,” Orbán said in a speech in Budapest.

He stressed that “we don’t know the exact time when the first soldier from Brussels will set foot on Ukrainian soil. But we know for sure: it will happen.”

The Prime Minister added that he is committed to maintaining Hungary as an “island of safety and peace,” even in such an unstable world.
