Graphic Evidence Emerges of Mass Killings in Kahrizak Iran
In a cautious preliminary estimate, at least 2,000 people have been killed by the regime.
According to multiple sources, security forces across Iran are using live ammunition against protesters nationwide. Amid a sweeping crackdown and an almost total internet blackout, early assessments point to a massive and coordinated slaughter of demonstrators.
Images from Kahrizak, south of Tehran, show dozens of lifeless bodies sealed in official body bags. Eyewitnesses report that many more bodies are being held in another warehouse nearby. Two individuals searching for missing loved ones told reporters they personally saw over 400 corpses in Kahrizak alone.
Previously released videos from Fardis, Karaj, and Al-Ghadir Hospital in eastern Tehran showed similar scenes of dead bodies, indicating the violence is not confined to a single city.
The most conservative estimates suggest that during January 8–9, at least 2,000 people were killed in cities across the country.
