The BBC’s superflu campaign: How it started and how it’s going

   Interesting. The traditional Christmas Break of two weeks started on the weekend. I rode the chair with a local who told me that he will cover his face and sit away from me so he does not spread his cold/flu/Covid/cooties/whatever. I got him to lower his useless face shield (a wool neckpiece) when I told him it’s to keep his neck warm and is basically useless otherwise if he not coughing up fluids.
   He proceeded to tell me how sick most of his friends are including his wife. He offered that he even got the updated flu/Covid shot recently. He knew he shouldn’t be out today but the weather and conditions were excellent. How did those shots help you? Silence.

   I told him I haven’t encountered any people in the village who are ill. Possibly due to them hiding at home. He believes it will be a bad Flu season. How does he know that? Many can’t shake what they have, huh!
   I did not know that 10 shots will do this to one’s immune system. I’m floored 🙂

   On another note: Met a 40ish homeowner (has a large Mortgage up for renewal soon) from Vancouver who knows he is screwed. No bank of Mom and Dad. He will need to bring cash to the table to lower the principal to enter into a new mortgage. Told him Communism is looking more attractive to those under 40 in Vancouver. He thought about it and agreed he may be willing to give it a try. He blames a life in Vancouver for his left leaning ideology. He was honest at least. He sees no hope. Ran out of chair time to pick his brains further.
   Speaking with rural locals the mood changes for the better. There is hope for their future.

   Another case: A German high school exchange student. Changed her opinion of migrants mid-chair ride. I asked how safe is it in Germany on the street if you are alone. Her response went from being safe to ….. the migrants have always been targeting white girls. So! She admitted that she wants to leave Germany when she graduates Uni. Now it’s not safe! Huh. Apparently she does not fear Sikhs and Hindu men. Just the third world Muslims. Perfect Canadian English spoken with mannerisms as well. She watches a lot of American shows on TV.

   Just have to ask the right questions. So entertaining. People will say the darnest things.
   They never ask you anything. It goes one way which is fine with me.

   If I ride the chair with my normal friends, I am not allowed to ask/interrogate the other riders. They think it spoils the ride.
   When Aussie Digger arrives soon, it’s open season on idiots on the chair. Aussie Digger is relentless 🙂
