Ukraine’s EU membership will destroy Hungary’s economy, Hungarian PM states
Ukraine’s EU membership is disadvantageous for Hungary, as it “threatens its economy.” A significant issue is that the European Union allegedly has to support Ukraine’s million-strong army, states Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Hungary has lost several billion euros over the past three years due to the war in Ukraine. Orbán claims that the country would not be facing such economic problems if the money sent to Ukraine had remained in the European economy.
