I question the veracity of this article.
For the most part, we never experienced ANY mosquitoes when we lived in California, particularly along the coast or at their higher elevations. LA is mostly too dry, and the scattered rains tend to evaporate faster than their breeding cycle.
The rainy season tends to be winter, when its cooler at the same time.
There might be concentrations around junk yards where old tires are present.
