The Russian Army is facing a huge victory, its biggest in months, as it captured the center of Soledar, breaking up the second and third lines of defense of the Ukrainians. The penultimate Ukrainian stronghold in the Donbass is falling. Next is Bakhmut.
The Ukrainian Army retreats en masse either to Krasna Gora or to Bakhmut while several thousand have trapped themselves in the salt mines. From there they will fight the final battle.
