Premier Doug Ford announced that plans are moving forward to offer a photo ID card before introducing a digital driver’s license.

The province of Ontario is moving one step closer to a digital identification system after announcing it plans to gradually phase in what it says are “optional” health cards and driver’s licenses for those who want them.

The provincial government under Premier Doug Ford announced the plan a couple of days ago and says it will start with the Ontario Photo Card, an ID for people who do not have a driver’s license.
