Canada’s Culture Minister Marc Miller, who is a close friend of former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, said that the Liberals are “very seriously” looking at implementing a social media ban in the near future. His comments come after members of the Liberal Party voted in their convention a non-binding resolution calling for the ban.

YES – Of course all the above is true – and everything already exists (singularily) – BUT – each item is monitored and controlled separately.
Digital ID pulls them ALL TOGETHER into ONE database so that at the flick of a switch EVERYTHING can be turned on/off at will.

Western countries have embraced socialism for years which created dependancy. Sadly most of my fellow Canadians have no clue where this leads. The Government hands out goodies (deficit spending) to buy your support while digging a deeper hole.
The Canada Grocery and Essentials Benefit that replaces the GST/HST Credit is an example. It’s means tested.
I realize how tight finances are for most young families. The last conversation with my bank manager painted a grim picture going forward re Credit Card and Mortgage debt. That was a few months ago. It is only getting worse. Communism is looking pretty good to a growing number of Canadians. We live amongst the dumbed down and there is nothing we can personally do to change this.
As more of the population becomes dependant upon the Government they will tighten the screws and suppress dissent coming from the sane (Goldtadise members). Expect censorship to increase as a way to shove more insane policies down our throats. The Social Credit score will prevent one from enjoying life as it once was.
Moving to a jurisdiction that is not as advanced has the advantage of not being sophisticated or organized to hinder you.
The developing countries have a lot to offer. The Nanny State has not taken hold. You work or starve.
Finding that right combo of safety and livability is the goal.
No one has to work in Canada as the handouts are there to buy votes.
